My first car

This was my first car. Still remember August 21st 2008 evening when the brand new car arrived at my home in Hyderabad. It was with me always without any problem till the time I was in Hyderabad. This car was like the Hindustan Motor's Ambassador of yester years. I have many sweet memories with this car.

Looking back

October 31st 2010 - at Ohri's Hyderabad Central , Hyderabad.

I would have never remembered that I took Chole Boturey on that day. Photo really gives us the opportunity to look back.

Lantern

Remember school days - summer at Lumding, no electricity in the evening and half-yearly exam. This lantern was the only option for us.

Situation has not improved much after these many years. Power supply is still the same, only the citizens, who can afford, resorted to backup power.

The keyboard and me

It was the winter of 1998 I started using keyboard. I was not sure at that time how is it going to impact my life. Now today when I look back I can only wonder thinking how I could spend the first part of my life without this.

But life was truely simple without this.

Festival of light and the same terrace

October 17th, 2009 - Diwali from the same terrace where I was waiting for rain in August.

Rain

Respite - rain after a month long heat. May 19th 2009, my TataSky was enjoying the most.

During the summer in Hyderabad, I used to sit in the terrace and wait for the rain. One such evening, cloudy sky giving hope of rain. This was captured on August 17th, 2009

The wait was sweet - it started raining.

Little more.

Now its pouring.

And the most common scene - flooded road.

Melting Ice Bowl

This photo was taken in Hyderabad on April 9th 2009 - it was the beginning of summer and Hyderabad was already at its pick, mercury touching 40 C marks.

Saraswati Puja - 2007

Saraswati Puja at out home, Lumding (January 26th 2007)

Will always remember Saraswati Puja during my school and college days. Used get up early in the morning and then the most toughest thing used to follow - taking bath in the cold of late January/ early February. Puja used to start at home with Anjali at home.

Khichudi  at school/college used to be always special. Those days were really good.

My coin collection

Few years back I was in a mission to collect coin. One day I realized that I am collecting too many :) Here are few of those:

Flower at my home

All good things can be started with flower. Where ever I stay I ensure that I have at least one flower plan at my home. These are from my home in Hyderabad, India

Durga Puja - Dashami @ Lumding

Durga Puja, as we all know, the major festival of the eastern India and is celebrated once a year during the fall and early winter. Dashami marks the culmination of the festival with immersion of idols. This video was captured on the streets of Lumding on 2008 with a tiny mobile camera.

Guwahati - on the way to Airport

Guwahati - Paltan Bazaar, through the window of car. Brahmaputra on the other side of the road (not quite visible in this mobile camera of 2007)
Near Ada Bari - my cab stopped for gas. I got the opportunity to get down and have few clicks.

The other side of Ada Bari towards Airport.

Seahawks - the pride of Seattle

Green North East

I always enjoyed my travel to home by train. During one such travel back to home.

The green fields. Oil tankers moving out of the North-East.

Green fields and the hill we grew up seeing during every train journey to and from Lumding

Hyderabad - Ramuji Film City

Ramuji Film City - pride of Hyderabad. Every Hyderabadi knows this place and have at least visited once in last one year.

Inside film city, a palace look a like for cinema.

Railway Station inside the studio - shooting was on when I clicked this.

Buses ferrying tourists inside the studio complex.

Lumding - Loknath Baba Temple

Along with calling the Railway Town I think we can also call Lumding as a Temple Town. One can find a temple almost at every para (পাড়া).

Lumding Bazaar

Lumding Bazaar, this photo was taken during 2007 Durga Puja.

Memories at galore - spent a lot of time in this area of Bazaar.

Dala (ডালা)

Never got a chance to see this during my stay out of home. Do we still use this?

Lumding - Netaji Statue

This photo I took during my 2008 visit to Lumding, my hometown. This place does not need any introduction for the people of Lumding. Its in the heart of all the people with a link to this tiny town.

Every year January 23rd -  this place will be at the helm of all affairs celebrating Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's, the true freedom fighter of India and the real fater of the Nation, birth anniversaries.
